Terms
The short version: the lessons are free to use, an account just saves a child’s progress on a device, and the only thing you pay for is a downloadable PDF of a textbook. Here is that in full, plainly.
What Manthika is
Manthika is a set of free, browser-based lessons and reference textbooks, built and published by an individual creator (not a company) operating under the Manthika name. Using this site — reading a lesson, working through questions, watching a video on The Feed — means you accept these terms.
Using the free lessons
The lesson loop, the reference textbooks read online, and The Feed are free to use, for personal and classroom learning. We built them to be genuinely correct and to actually teach, but we’re a small team and mistakes happen — if you find one, “suggest a fix” on the lesson takes ten seconds and we read every one.
Accounts and learner profiles
An account belongs to the adult who creates it — a parent, guardian, or teacher, not the child. A learner profile under that account exists to save a child’s progress and, only with the account holder’s explicit consent, a coarse, anonymous practice log. See our privacy notice for exactly what that means. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens under your account.
Buying a textbook PDF
Some textbooks are also sold as a complete, offline, printable PDF — the text itself is already free to read on this site; the PDF is what you pay for. Payment is handled by Razorpay, a licensed Indian payment processor — your card, UPI or bank details go to Razorpay directly, never to us. Once a payment is confirmed, the PDF is added to your account and stays available for you to download again later.
A PDF you buy is for your own household or classroom use — for reading and printing, not for reselling or redistributing the file itself. See our refund policy for what happens if a payment goes wrong.
Changes we might make
Manthika is still being built — lessons, prices, and these terms themselves can change as it grows. We won’t change the terms of a purchase you’ve already made; for everything else, the current version of this page is the one that applies.
No guarantees, honestly stated
We work hard to keep lessons correct and the site working, but we can’t promise it’s error-free or available every minute of every day. Manthika is provided as it is, without warranties beyond what Indian law requires — we are not liable for indirect losses arising from using or being unable to use the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
